This Thursday, September 10, 2015 is the Pre-Health Professions Games. The actual game will be from 6pm-8pm. We will be meeting in front of the CSUF quad right in front of McCarthy Hall. We need pre-dents to come participate as we battle to win the trophy against the pre-health clubs in campus. Come in your running gear as we will win to the top to this great hunt. Go Pre-Dental Society!
***It is best before the pre-health game begins that you store your belongings such as backpack and books at your car. A lanyard attached to your keys would be best to have with you and a water bottle as we don't want our pre-dents to lose their personal belonging or having the group being slowed down due to heavy stuff on your back during the scavenger hunt as we will be running around campus.
5:30PM-6:00PM: Pre-Socializing - Presidents from all respective clubs will be there no later than
5:45pm. Great time to socialize among each club. :) Take lots of photos too!
6:00PM-6:10PM: Introductions/Overview - PHPGames. One Health Carnival. Agenda for the night!
6:10PM-6:15PM: Game Rules - Everyone is required to read all the rules for the game to ensure we are
all on the same page. We will go over key points that must be followed by all clubs. Absolutely no exceptions.
6:15PM-6:20PM: Group Photo - If possible, please represent your club by wearing your club shirt! We will be taking pictures before we get all sweaty and yucky!
6:20PM-7:40PM: GAME BEGINS - Sealed envelopes from HPO will be handed to the presidents with 20 riddles and off we all go! Goodluck!
7:40PM-7:55PM: Results are verified by each president - Pictures of CSUF landmark/items are very important! Must be clear!
7:55PM-8:00PM: WINNERS - May the best club win!
Here's an important selection of scavenger hunt rules and tips before any of the teams set out on a scavenger hunt:
All team members need to stay with their team at all times. You may not split up to "divide" scavenger hunt tasks or pay or bribe additional individuals to join your team and complete your tasks. President must be visual in each photo!
Some scavenger hunt tasks deal with strangers... It's very important to be kind and respectful with strangers, and with that said - always be on guard and stay safe, use your healthy judgment when it comes to people you don't know.
NO harassing citizens of your town, physically or verbally for items or photographs. It is their right to choose not to help you and you should respect that (even if you think they are lame for not helping you).
Teams must be courteous and respectful to their teammates and all the outside people involved in the scavenger hunt.
No breaking any laws! Scavenger hunts are for having fun, but you must do so legally! If you break any laws during the duration of the scavenger hunt, your team will be disqualified. This includes (but is not limited to) - shoplifting, assault, trespassing, blackmail, bribery, forgery, perjury, fraud, etc.!
If businesses or private individuals lend you items it's okay, but please note that it is each team's responsibility to return any borrowed items to their original owners (if requested).
Everyone needs to know the boundaries of the scavenger hunt. Make it very clear what they are, whether they are inside, outside, in a certain neighborhood, etc.
Always play fair. Don't let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin other people's chances to win, if you do - you're team might be disqualified. This means no cheating, lying, stealing, sabotaging, or copying other people's work. Sabotaging other teams will result in disqualification.
All challenges must be completed and pictures/videotaping scenes MUST be taken only during the duration of this specific scavenger hunt (challenges completed or photos/videotaping scenarios taken outside this time frame will be disqualified).
Spending money to acquire items on the list is not required. If you are strategic enough you can complete the scavenger hunt at a minimal cost! It is discouraged to spend money excessively (especially because most of the fun is being creative on how you get the items on the list).
No driving around in a car. Everyone must be on foot.
Make sure each team has a mobile phone and contact numbers in the case of an emergency.
No littering. Always clean up after yourselves and your teammates.
Cheaters never win. If anyone on your team cheats or breaks the rules, the whole team gets disqualified. Remember - it's just a game! Be kind and have fun :-)
