Hi everyone! My name is Kaitlin Dalisay, and I am the President of CSUF's Pre-Dental Society. I am a third-year Biological Science major with a concentration in Cell and Developmental Biology. I joined the Pre-Dental Society to grow confidence and connections within my community and future career. I want only the best for our members by motivating them to obtain experience and helping them gain insight into dentistry. My ultimate goal is to become a general or pediatric dentist with my own private practice. I found my passion for pediatrics through shadowing a Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics clinic. Dentistry is important to me because teeth are vital to everyday life. I want to help people overcome obstacles and help them feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. In addition, I strive to assist those who do not have the financial support to receive proper dental care. My hobbies include going to Disneyland, discovering new boba spots, and stress relieving by going to the gym with friends.

Hey everyone! My name is Sebastian Momdjian and I am the Vice President of CSUF’s Pre-Dental Society. I’m currently in my final year at CSUF, majoring in Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition. My aim as Vice President is to garner a group of like-minded individuals that not only help empower each other, but also benefit our community in both clinical and voluntary aspects of dentistry. My passion for dentistry was sparked by dentists and dental specialists, which has led to years of shadowing and work within the field itself. The more experience I’ve acquired in the field, the more curious and enthusiastic I’ve become about dental-related health. I am extremely excited to treat generations of families and to leave a positive impact within my community. I desire to become a dentist who cares for my patients by providing quality dental care and emphasizing the importance of preventing oral disease. Aside from school, I enjoy going to the gym, playing basketball, reading books, and trading in the stock market. I’m very optimistic about this year and look forward to meeting you all. Best of luck this semester! If you have any questions or want to talk, please feel free to reach out to me.

Hello my name is Amairani. My major is Biochemistry with a minor in spanish. I am the treasurer of the pre-dental club. My interest in dentistry began when I was young. I had always wondered how I always got so many cavities.  Through my high school I was able to become a licensed dental assistant. Shortly after graduating dental assisting school and high school I began working and being exposed to the dental field. That’s when I knew dentistry was something I really wanted to pursue as a career. Throughout my time working and learning how to manage an office I’ve learned so many people dislike or have had horrible dental experiences. I would like to change that because as a child I remember I loved going to the dentist and would like to share the same experience as well.

Hi everyone! My name is Vy Doan and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Pre-Dental Society. This is my 4th-year at CSUF majoring in Kinesiology. Initially, Dentistry was not the path I planned on pursuing. Dentistry, however, has left a significant impact on both myself and my family. I witnessed the contrasting effects of receiving early oral health care versus delayed oral health care. I was fortunate to get proper dental care early on, while my family did not have the same opportunity. Seeing the impact oral care has on different generations has sparked a passion in me to pursue dentistry, prioritizing my mission to serve underprivileged and uninsured communities, ensuring they receive the proper oral care. I have a passion for human services and aspire to become a dentist who is empathetic to diverse circumstances and backgrounds, with a goal of building meaningful relationships with my patients. Aside from chasing my dream, I also love to hangout with my friends, read, watch K-dramas and anime, and spend time with my family. I am enthusiastic to meet everyone and cannot wait to make wonderful memories together!

Hello everyone! My name is Lia Castillo and I am a 5th year biology major serving as the secretary for pre-dental society. I joined PDS to meet other individuals with the same passion for dentistry as well as to expand my knowledge on the various routes and job opportunities for individuals interested in the dental field. Growing up, I was always going to different dentists and it was hard to find one that I felt safe with which made me want to go into dentistry in the event that I could be that someone that made patient visits easier and something to look forward to.

During the pandemic I sought out internship experience and was able to intern at a private dental office which really ignited my passion for teaching patients proper oral care as well as teaching the new interns patient care and the mechanics behind running a dental office. When I am not working at the office I enjoy lifting at the gym, trying new food spots, and going to amusement parks. I wish everyone a happy, fun-filled semester and just know that if you have any questions, I’m an email away!

Hello! My name is Natalia Quinones, and I’m the Publicity Coordinator of the Pre-Dental Society. I am a fifth-year double-majoring in Biology with a concentration in Cell and Development as well as Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Chicano/a Studies. I joined PDS my first year at CSUF and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career. I have learned many new things about dentistry and have been introduced to many dentistry-related opportunities. I have been actively pursuing my interest in this field since I was in high school. After gaining practical involvement from my first time shadowing my orthodontist, I began to further fall in love with the idea of doing that as my career. The opportunities I have come across over the years have reaffirmed and established my desire in pursuing dentistry and helped me picture myself practicing the dental profession. Apart from my current involvement in PDS I am also in Beta Psi Omega, a professional biology fraternity. Most of my time on campus is spent in class, studying in the library, participating in extracurriculars, and working out. When I am not on campus I like to go to concerts, the beach, paint, go on road trips, spend time with friends, and go to amusement parks. Wishing you the best of luck this school year; if you have any questions or just want to get in touch, feel free to contact me!

Hello everyone! My name is Hargunjoth Kaur and I am the Fundraising Coordinator for the Pre-Dental Society at California State University, Fullerton. I am currently a third year student pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. This is my second year being a member of Pre-Dental Society and I initially joined to get an introduction into the field of dentistry. I started off college on the Pre-Med track, but after exploring my options through research, volunteering, and PDS events, I was able to discover that becoming a dentist is something that I am truly passionate about. My goal is to eventually have my own clinic where I can practice cosmetic dentistry. Alongside being a board member for PDS,  I am also the Dental Chair Representative for the Student Health Professions Association, where I work to inform my peers of the various career pathways that are related to the field of dentistry. In my spare time, I love to play and watch basketball, workout at the gym, and spend time with my family, friends, and two German shepherds. By becoming a dentist I hope to someday help people understand the benefits of oral hygiene and the importance of protecting one's smile. I look forward to meeting all of you at our PDS events this year!
